文摘
This article describes a fisheries learning exchange that focused on sea turtle conservation in Cuba. Fishers, scientists, and managers from Cuba, Mexico, and the U.S. participated. Goals were to develop scientific basis for turtle conservation and engage Cuban fishers in conservation. As a result of the exchange, there was an increase in collaboration among the three countries in turtle conservation. An annual sea turtle festival was started in a Cuban fishing village.
