Measurement uncertainty (MU) can avoid wrong decisions due to incomplete measures. Different approaches were used to estimate the MU of three years analytical data. The combined bottom-up approach was inadequate for overestimating the MU. Titrimetry and spectrometry had the higher and the lower MU, respectively. Complete measures avoided the disposal of a million ton of animal feed.
