iTRAQ proteomics identified WAS extracellular proteins and related pathways. Transformations of WAS extracellular proteins pre- and post-treatment were tracked. Membrane proteins were down-regulated and cytoplasm proteins were up-regulated. Membrane part was the target spot of enzyme-disintegration inducing cell lysis. Function loss of biological adhesion was the key to WAS flocs disintegration.
