Let G   be a finite group, S$\mathbb{S}$ the subgroup category of G, and M a Mackey functor on G  . For full subcategories G$\mathbb{G}$ and c80fd6fe6db4be9b73f16106b2" title="Click to view the MathML source">H$\mathbb{H}$ of S$\mathbb{S}$, we have the direct limit M_⁎(G)$M_{⁎}(\mathbb{G})$ and the inverse limit M^⁎(H)$M^{⁎}(\mathbb{H})$ of M  . In this paper we study relation between the canonical homomorphisms 33c3" title="Click to view the MathML source">ind:M_⁎(G)→M(G)$\text{ind}:M_{⁎}(\mathbb{G})\to M(G)$ and res:M(G)→M^⁎(H)$\mathrm{res}:M(G)\to M^{⁎}(\mathbb{H})$.
