On the Abnormities of Air Temperature and Humidity by Radon Decay Before Strong Earthquakes

Satellite thermal infrared images indicated the presence of positive thermal anomalies before strong earthquakes. This paper analyzes the main physical and chemical effects of high-energy α particles after air ionization and estimates the maximum values of the released heat and absorbed water vapor molecules. The results show that the changes in air temperature and humidity are negligible. Therefore, the phenomena of temperature rise and humidity drop may have nothing to do with the variation in radon concentration before strong earthquakes.
