Mn deposits in Heishui, Sichuan Province are confined to the Lower Triassic Bocigou Formation and controlled by structure.  Ore minerals are composed of psilomelane, pyrolusite, braunite, rhodochrosite and manganocalcite and gangue minerals are composed of magnetite, goethite and pyrite and so on.  The deposit belongs to sedimentary metamorphic type with giant reserves.  The Heishui area is very perspective for Mn resources.
