Caledonian granitoids in Nanling Range can be petrologically divided into three categories, of whose rock assemblage are quartz diorite (or tonalite) - granodiorite (dominanted) - monzogranite; granodiorite - monzo- granite (dominanted), and monzogranite (dominanted) - two-mica granites, corresponding to genetic Hss-, Hs- and S-types respectively. These granitoids have common characteristics of peraluminous, moderate alkali-rich (6.26% to 8.06%), K20〉 Na:O (more than 1.5), different degrees of enrichment of large ion lithophile elements (Rb, Cs, Th and U). And they are all behavior as high Iv, low and continuous ~Nd values. Petrological, geochemi- cal and isotopical comparison shows granitoids of S-type probably derived from partial melting of pure continental metasediments; the Hss-type may be a mixing product of crust-derived and mantle-derived magma with mixed ratio of more or less 1:1; and the Hs-type is mainly evolved from crust-derived magma with a small amount of ad- dition of mantle-derived magma. In potential mineral resource evaluation, good capacity of tungsten mineraliza- tion may exist in Yuechengling, Miaoershan batholiths of S-type, prospecting space of tungsten polymetallic can be settled during fracture zone in internal and near contact of the southern Penggongmiao and other Caledonian batholiths of Hs-type granite.
