In order to ensure the highway safety, rational analysis and effective supporting measures for high slope are two important aspects. This paper takes high slope in ZK9+385ZK9+425 of Huangshan-Taling (Anhui-Jiangxi’s junction) and Xiaohe-Taolin (Anhui-Zhejiang’s junction) highway for example, concludes the typical geological features and environment in those slopes, and the main failure modes of slope. From the perspective of engineering geology, the author analyzes the slope failure mechanism, uses some quantitative methods to evaluate the stability of slope. Based on this, the reasonable, effective and economic support design is proposed.
