Characteristics and Geostructure Significance of the Late Permian Intracontinental Chasmic Basin in Southwest of Hubei Province

Southwestern Hubei area belongs to upper Yangtze subarea of Yangtze stratum area, the Late Permian stratigraphic rock combination type is various. In addition to widespread carbonate platform sediments, limestone and siliceous rock basin with two types of mixed sediments, this area also exists a silicon-based mudstone sedimentary basin facies, which contains a large number of basic volcanic material and radiation worms, sponge spicule and other fossils. It instructs deepwater to be detained the basin environment and forms near north-south stretching in the southwest of Hubei intra-continental rift basin. The basin forms in the South China Block extensional tectonic environment, and the surrounding landmass and the internal extensional basin constitute the grid system of the rift, indicating that the basin in the Southwest of Hubei at this time is not as the traditional view that a stable platform of the sedimentary environments.
