摘要

The closed lakes of inland arid and semi-arid area are very sensitive to climate change, so they are the ideal sites of paleoenvironmental research. Located about 50km southeast of Turpan City, Aydingkol Lake is the lowest low-lying land in China with at an altitude of 154.4meters below sea level. And because of its special geographical location and unique geological environment, it plays an important role in the research of the environmental change in arid region of the North Western China. Two profiles were dug in the northeast of the lake. Profile I 42°3917.4N, 89°2450.7E and -154m a.s. 1. , 46cm in depth, were excavated 200m from the stele of Aydingkol Lake. Profile I1 42°4029.3N,89°254E , 134cm in depth, were sampled at the northeast side of the road to the stele. A total of 36 families and 36 species were identified. Four subsamples of two profiles were dated using Accelerated Mass SpectrometryAMS. One subsample at the depth of 41 -46cm at the bottom of Profile I was dated to 1944± 25aB. P. 2015±65cal. aB. P. . Three subsamples of Profile 11 at depths of 75 - 85cm, 105 - 110cm and 130 - 134cmwere dated. But we got only one dating age of 5099±30aB. P. 5785±45cal. aB. P. at the depth of 130- 134cm. According to the systemic pollen characteristics and grain size, the result show that two dry-wet climatic oscillation occurred in Mid-Holocene and there was a obvious impact by westerly flow in Aydingkol Lake region. Since the Late Holocene climate is relatively humid, especially in the period of the Little Ice Age, the enhanced Westerly system might result in more rainfall.
