摘要
In order to study lateral seal of faults more exactly,we improved a quantitative method for studying lateral seal of faults based on the previous quantitative studies on lateral seal of faults by considering not only the influence of compaction pressure but also the impact of compaction time during diagenesis on fault rocks.Taking the B29 fault of the Huhenouren Structure in the Beier Depression,Hailaer Basin as an example,we quantitatively evaluated the lateral seal of the 1~9 reservoir of the Nantun Formation by comparing the unimproved study approach with the improved one.The lateral seal ability of the B29 fault evaluated by the improved study approach is obviously lower than that derived from the unimproved study approach,probably indicating an overestimate on the actual lateral seal ability of faults that used to be once assessed by the previous unimproved study approach.Therefore,the lateral seal ability of faults evaluated by the improved study approach is closer to the actual lateral seal ability of faults.
