Primarily Study on Symbolization Algorithm’s in Geophysics Application——Example of Computing MT’s Apparent Resistivity and Its Partial Derivative

     The symbolization algorithm is a new method based on symbol computing. The paper analyses the difference between the new method and numerical computing, and summarizes the symbolization algorithms value computing proce dures including three steps creates requirement mother symbol expressions, uses symbol operation to generate objective symbol expressions, substitutes real value to compute and get final results according to an example. It proves the symboliza- tion algorithm practicable by the MATLABs computing results of apparent resistivity and its partial derivative using the symbolization algorithm and Paterlic algorithm. The experiments also give proofs that the symbolization algorithrns compu- ting speed is slower, however, the symbolization algorithm is capable and advantaged between providing standard final re- sults for equivalem expressions or approximate expressions and it helps us with finding new algorithms. So it shows that the symbolization algorithm advantages hiding widely application prospects on geophysics fields.
