Re-Os Dating of Molybdenite from the Fenghuangshan Skarn Cu Deposit in Tongling, Anhui Province and Its Geological Significance

摘要

In this paper the authors yield molybdenite Re-Os model ages ranging from139.1±2.4 to 142.0±2.2 Ma and the isochronal age 141.1±1.4 Ma. The results show that Cu mineralization of the Fenghuangshan Cu deposit occurred at the Early CretaceousThe ages indicate close temporal relations between Cu mineralization and magmatism. The authors’ study is consistent to previous studies that Cu mineralization occurred at the Mesozoic second mineralization stageresponding to the Mesozoic lithosphere delamination event in south of China
