A New Algorithm of Adaptive Triangulation for Two-Dimensional Modeling with Inner Specific Restriction

In order to triangulate the two-dimensional complicated geoelectric section, a new algorithm of adaptive triangulation for two-dimensional modeling with inner specific restriction is proposed based on the current algorithms, and an automatic procedure of the algorithm is developed. The two-dimensional domain can be triangulated by the algorithm with inner specific restriction automatically. By introducing subdivision spacing function, the element size can be controlled at the interested positions to generate varied grade cell. Numerical experiments show that more than 95 percent elements whose shape factor are all large than 0.90, so that the method works well to generate finite element mesh for complicated geoelectric sections which contain landform, faults, geological body etc.
