Niutitang Formation in North Guizhou is a black rock measures in Meishucun period,  Early Cambrian,   it contains Ni,  Mo,  V,  U,  P and other elements in the lower segment,  vanadium usually occurs in the simple lithology association are of “black layer”,  nickel,  molybdenum concentrated in the complex area,  but phosphor,  uranium is not controlled by the "black layer". In this paper,  it analysis and summarize the ore-bearing association,  ore bearing potentiality and typical deposit geologic characters of “black layer”,  and lithology paleogeographic environment,  it’s thought there are big prospecting space and potential of lower segment Niutitang Formation of “black layer” in the northern Guizhou Province,  then the prospecting target is carried out.
