The international natural disaster database is used to analyze the change law of geo-hazards around the world. Then this paper analyzes the trend of geo-hazards and the influence of human activities on them in oft-com:office:smarttags" />China. Worldwide, geo-hazards have being on an upward trend with the economic and social development, exerting an increasing impact on society and economy. In China, geo-hazards have been highly frequent since the mid-1990s with casualties and economic losses not yet effectively curbed.
