There are such depositional systems as alluviation, aeolian, drought lake, etc, in paleo-desert depositional system in Cretaceous of Ordos Basin. It is necessary to discriminate such conception as aeolian deposition with desert deposition, aeolian depositional system with desert depositional system. Paleo-desert deposition of Zhidan Group in study area can be divided into two sequence unit, reflecting two stages for aeolian evolution of paleo-desert from powerful and prosperous phase to decline phase. And every desert sequence is composed of lowstand system tract, transgressive system tract, highstand system tract, the rule of dividing system tract of desert sequence is dominant depositional type in vacuity proportion in various depositional systems, there is apparent difference vacuity allocation of such depositional systems as alluvion, aeolian, drought lake, and so on in different system tract. In the end, development tendency is forecasted in view of present problems in study area.
