Fault Distribution Characteristics and Their Impacts on the Yield of the Ledong Gas 15-1 Field, Yinggehai Basin
详细信息
摘要

The Ledong 15-1 Gas Field is situated in one of the numerous mud diapir structures of the Yinggehai Basin, in which the Quaternary Ledong Fm and Neogene Yinggehai Fm were arched into typical dome-shaped anticlines. Under the upward tensile stress of the diapir, a series of radial faults has been formed in the overlying strata, which is a key to gas migration and plugging in the Ledong 15 1 Gas Field, on the other hand, these faults significantly affect the development performance. According to the geological and seismic characteristics of this field, the wavelet transform coherence algorithm was adopted to identify and interpret the faults. On this basis, a combination of visual fault space distribution and micro-faults was obtained. Moreover, the sensibility of the single- frequency phase to the formation discontinuity would result in regular phase shifting and dislocation, which was used for determining the extended length of a fault. Finally, the high-resolution Ant-Tracking technoiogy was adopted, altogether completing a fine and quantitative presentation of the Ledong 15-1 fault structures. The interpretation for the faults in this area is of great importance in guiding the dynamic analysis of gas field production, reserve calculation, design of development well pattern, etc. In addition, a se- ries of geophysical technologies has been established for effectively identifying and analyzing the diapir fault zones. Based on the anal ysis, using the high-density 3D seismic method to improve the transverse resolution of the data will become a trend in future oil and gas exploration.
