Application of the Seismic Inversion Reconstructed by SP Curve in Thin Sandbody Characterization

     In the late stage of high-water-cut Placanticline Oilfields development, the difficulty of the residual oil tapping study is to finely characterize the individual sandbody. The induced seismic data can accurately predict the distribution and spread of the sandbodies among the wells, but the vertical resolution of the data is lower and there is the disadvantage of multi-solutions, so it is necessary to finely study the different types of the sandbodies by means of well-seismic integration. Based on the sandstone characteristics of Oil Reservoir P I 1-3 in East Part I of Xing Block 6, the ability to identify the sandbodies is analyzed for the 3 D seismic inverted data by SP curve recon- struction, the planar distribution laws of the distributary channel sandbodies in the main oil layers of Xingbei Devel- opment Zone are predicted and moreover the depositional facies-belt map for the reservoirs in dense well pattern is improved. All the achievements accomplished above have laid the basis for guiding the residual oil tapping in the block.
