The dolomite of the Ordovician Majiagou Formation is a significant resevoir in the Ordos Basin. The leopard fur dolomites were selected for detailed field and laboratory study. The shapes of leopard spot are tubal and irregular in the field. These wormhole shapes were caused by biology disturb activity. Microscope study indicated that leopard spots were distributed along wormhole, and composed of subhedral-idiomorphic cryptomere dolomites with nebulous-inner and bright-edge. The matrix is micrite dolomite. The average value of δ13C and δ18O of dolomite is -0.26‰ and -5.06‰.The molar percentage of CaCO3 in dolomite is around 50.4%, and the order degree is range from 0.81 to 1. During the carbonate deposition, the burrows which caused by borrowing biology, are the main factor why dolomites are inhomogenous and the leopard spots are formed.
